Big changes are on the horizon for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates as they prepare for new chapters in the upcoming season. Chiefs are gearing up for their CAF journey under newly appointed coach Nasreddine Nabi, while Pirates begin a fresh start following Jose Riveiro’s departure.

Transfer Battles Loom Once Again

It’s no secret that Chiefs and Pirates often lock horns in the transfer market, chasing after the same targets. This transfer window looks no different, with both clubs eyeing reinforcements to strengthen their squads. Previously, both Soweto giants were linked to players like Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi of Polokwane City, as well as Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United. Fawaaz Basadien is another name drawing interest from both camps – although Mamelodi Sundowns are also in the mix.

Marumo Gallants’ Masindi Nemtajela is another talent reportedly on the radar of both Chiefs and Pirates, as the battle for top local talent heats up.

Rowan Human Back on the Market

A familiar name has resurfaced in the transfer rumour mill – Rowan Human. Once a sought-after target for both clubs, Human eventually joined AmaZulu after Maritzburg United accepted their bid. However, iDiski Times now reports that the 24-year-old is set to leave AmaZulu after failing to reach an agreement on a new deal. Having played a key role in Usuthu’s midfield this season, contributing three goals and five assists, Human is now a free agent – and interest in his services is already picking up.

Should Chiefs or Pirates Reignite Their Interest?

With both clubs needing creative midfielders and proven PSL talent, the availability of Rowan Human could be an opportunity too good to ignore. Will either Soweto giant go back in for the dynamic midfielder, or will another club swoop in once again?
