Midfield dynamo Rowan Human is officially heading for the exit at AmaZulu FC after rejecting a contract extension — a move that has caught the attention of Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, both of whom are now circling the 24-year-old.

With Human’s contract set to expire at the end of June, the player’s representatives have reportedly offered his services to both Soweto giants, setting the stage for a potential transfer tug-of-war. Sources suggest Human is eager for a fresh start after a season where he managed to rediscover the form that once made him a hot prospect in the PSL.

“AmaZulu couldn’t reach an agreement with Human over a new deal, and now he’s set to leave on a free transfer,” a source revealed. “His name is now on the desks of both Chiefs and Pirates, and it’s only a matter of time before one of them makes a move.”

With no transfer fee involved and the player keen to step up, Human could prove to be a valuable addition for either club heading into the 2025/26 season.

Pirates Secure Tshepho Mashiloane from Baroka

In confirmed transfer news, Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of highly-rated Baroka FC defender Tshepho Mashiloane. The 21-year-old was instrumental for Baroka during their recent campaign and is now ready to test himself at the top level.

While Mashiloane admitted he had hoped to help Baroka achieve promotion before making his move, he expressed gratitude for the support he received from club chairman Khurishi Mphahlele.

“I’m proud to join a big club like Pirates,” Mashiloane said. “It’s a step up, and I know I’ll have to raise my level to stay competitive. I’m aiming to fight for opportunities, especially in big tournaments like the Carling Knockout Cup, MTN8, and Nedbank Cup.”

Mashiloane joins the Buccaneers at a time when the club is looking to inject more young talent into its ranks, with a clear focus on building squad depth for the upcoming season.
