Orlando Pirates are aggressively rebuilding their squad and show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Reports suggest the club has already secured agreements for at least six new signings ahead of the upcoming season.

Midfield Overhaul in Progress

One key area the Buccaneers are focusing on is their midfield. Sources indicate that Pirates are close to signing Sihle Nduli from Stellenbosch FC as a free agent, along with Sinoxolo Kwayiba, who is set to join from Chippa United.

These incoming players are expected to shake up the current midfield setup, with the club reportedly planning to offload at least four central midfielders to free up space. Miguel Timm’s departure has been confirmed, while Goodman Mosele is also believed to be on his way out.

Eyes on Cape Town City’s Jaedin Rhodes

According to KickOff.com, Pirates are turning their attention to Cape Town City’s Jaedin Rhodes as a potential addition. Despite a disappointing season for the 22-year-old, he remains a high priority target for the Buccaneers.

Past attempts to sign Rhodes have been met with resistance from City, but Pirates are expected to try again during the upcoming transfer window. The situation is complicated by the fact that Rhodes recently signed a five-year contract with Cape Town City.

However, if City faces relegation, Pirates could gain an advantage, as owner John Comitis might be forced to sell some of his top players, including Rhodes.

Orlando Pirates seem determined to rebuild their midfield and are ready to make bold moves as the new season approaches.
