The Buccaneers have wasted no time in strengthening their squad, putting an end to speculation by revealing a dynamic list of arrivals in a Thursday morning statement.

Joining the Soweto giants are:

  • Yanela Mbuthuma and Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay FC)
  • Masindi Nemtajela, who impressed at Marumo Gallants
  • Rising star Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu FC)
  • Bafana Bafana international Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United)
  • Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka FC)
  • Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch FC)

In addition, Kabelo Kgositsile is expected to remain at Baroka on a season-long loan—a similar move to what the club did with Evidence Makgopa back in 2021.

This major recruitment drive comes hot on the heels of the club’s headline-grabbing signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sipho Mbule, further signalling Pirates’ intent to challenge for silverware this season.

However, with new arrivals come tough decisions. The club has already confirmed the departures of Miguel Timm and long-serving captain Innocent Maela, who is expected to transition into a technical staff role.

As the new-look Pirates gear up for their pre-season tour of Spain, they’ll face English outfit Bolton Wanderers on 11 July, giving fans a first glimpse of what this refreshed squad can deliver under Coach Ouaddou’s guidance.
