Orlando Pirates fans have a new right-back to get excited about — Tshepho Mashiloane is heading to Soweto. His arrival will create fresh competition for Deano Van Rooyen and Bandile Shandu.
Though the Buccaneers haven’t officially announced the signing yet, Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed the deal is done. The 23-year-old star is set to join Pirates for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership and CAF Champions League seasons.
“We still have to pay Mashiloane until the end of June, but Orlando Pirates have bought him for next season, not this one,” Mphahlele told iDiski Times.
He added that if Pirates want Mashiloane earlier, arrangements can be made, but as of now, Baroka will pay him until June when his contract officially ends. Starting July 1, Mashiloane will officially be an Orlando Pirates player.
