Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly preparing to part ways with Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari ahead of the upcoming season.
Ntwari arrived at Naturena with high expectations after making the switch from TS Galaxy, touted as one of Amakhosi’s marquee signings. But things didn’t quite go to plan.
The 24-year-old struggled to settle and found himself slipping down the pecking order. Despite being brought in to succeed veteran Itumeleng Khune, Ntwari managed just seven appearances in all competitions, conceding 11 goals.
According to sources close to UnplayableZA, Chiefs are now expected to terminate his contract as part of their squad reshuffle.
With Khune also moving on after turning down a non-playing role at the club, Chiefs are reportedly eyeing Sekhukhune United’s Renaldo Leaner and Yanga SC’s Djigui Diarra as possible reinforcements between the posts.
