Kaizer Chiefs look poised to add one or two African internationals to their roster as they prepare for the upcoming Betway Premiership season at Naturena.

Head coach Nasreddine Nabi—who previously coached top clubs like Al Hilal, Young Africans, and AS FAR—has been actively scouting talent across the continent. Shortly after Chiefs wrapped up last season, Nabi was spotted in Tanzania watching the Simba SC vs Singida Fountain match live.

More recently, Nabi traveled to Morocco to catch the Throne Cup quarterfinal clash between AS FAR and RS Berkane.

Chiefs Linked to Exciting African Talent

Rumors are swirling around several potential signings. Reports suggest Chiefs have their eyes on three key players from Simba SC:

  • Jean Charles Ahuoa, an attacking midfielder known for his goal-scoring prowess
  • Kibu Denis, a speedy winger
  • Stephen Mukwala, a powerful centre forward

Additionally, Chiefs have shown interest in Azam FC’s Feisal Salum, Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele, and the energetic Young Africans midfielder Maxi Mpia Nzengeli.

With Edmilson Dove’s exit freeing up a foreign player spot, the club is also evaluating the futures of current foreign players Edson Castillo and Fiacre Ntwari.

As the transfer window heats up, Chiefs’ recruitment strategy clearly centers on strengthening the squad with dynamic African internationals to challenge for top honors next season.
