Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly secured the signing of Ethan Chislett, a South African winger previously on the books of English side Port Vale. The 26-year-old, who hails from Durban, has chosen to return home despite interest from clubs in Scotland and England.

Chislett Chooses Amakhosi Over Europe

According to FARPost, Chislett rejected offers from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell and League One outfit Wigan Athletic in favour of a two-year deal with the Glamour Boys. His contract also includes an option for an extension.

After spending the last few years developing his craft across England’s lower leagues and even having a stint in Spain with Reus Reddis, Chislett is now ready to shine on South African soil.

“Returning to South Africa suits both my career and personal goals,” Chislett shared in a recent interview.

Chislett isn’t the only name linked with Chiefs as they reshape their squad under coach Nasreddine Nabi. Angolan striker Laurindo Dilson Aurelio, who featured against Bafana Bafana in the COSAFA Cup, is also rumoured to be on their radar—although his club form last season (0 goals, 1 assist in 24 Serbian league matches) may raise eyebrows.

Chiefs Gearing Up for Pre-Season in Europe

Kaizer Chiefs will begin their European pre-season tour in the Netherlands from 3–19 July, where new signings like Chislett and several promoted youth players are expected to make their mark. Surprisingly, George Matlou is also included in the traveling squad.
