Kaizer Chiefs are back in action! The squad has returned to Naturena to begin preparations for the 2025/26 season under head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Amakhosi will soon head to the Netherlands for their international pre-season camp, scheduled to run from 3 to 19 July. While fans are still waiting to hear about new signings, the club has confirmed the departure of five players: Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom, Edmilson Dove, Ranga Chivaviro, and Mduduzi Mdantsane.

European Friendlies on the Cards

Though Kaizer Chiefs have yet to announce their full list of pre-season fixtures, Dutch top-flight club FC Utrecht has confirmed that they will face the South African giants on 11 July.

Just a day later, Amakhosi will take on NEC Nijmegen, five-time KNVB Cup finalists. NEC also revealed their pre-season plans, which include friendlies against German club SF Lotte and a match to celebrate their 125th anniversary.

“NEC will begin preparations in the first week of July and hold their overseas training camp once again. A practice match against SF Lotte is set for 5 July, followed by the fixture against Kaizer Chiefs on 11 July,” NEC said in a club statement.

New Season, New Goals

Nasreddine Nabi remains at the helm after guiding Chiefs to their first trophy in over a decade. With fresh challenges ahead, Amakhosi will be hoping their European pre-season tour sets the tone for a successful 2025/26 campaign.
