Stellenbosch FC defender Thabo Moloisane has addressed the rumours linking him to Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
The 26-year-old has been a key figure in Stellenbosch’s defence since joining the club in 2023. His strong performances have caught the attention of both Soweto giants recently.
A product of the Mamelodi Sundowns youth system, Moloisane has also represented South Africa at junior levels. Last season, he featured in 26 matches for Stellenbosch, scoring twice and helping the team secure third place in the league.
On the interest from Chiefs and Pirates, Moloisane told SABC Sport, “When your name is linked with clubs, it means you’re doing well, and I’m happy that my efforts are being recognised. I’ve prayed to become a Bafana Bafana player and I’m focused on staying consistent. Right now, I just want to keep working hard and trust that God is in control.”
He added, “Everything in my career has come at the right time, and I believe the right opportunity will come when it’s meant to. Football careers can be short, but I’m confident that when the moment arrives, it will be life-changing.”
While he’s open to a move to Chiefs or Pirates, Moloisane also expressed satisfaction with his current situation at Stellenbosch. “I’m waiting patiently and trusting God’s plan,” he said.
