Kaizer Chiefs are once again linked with a notable winger, this time Mihlali Mayambela, who currently plays for Aris Limassol and represents Bafana Bafana.
The 28-year-old is reportedly eager to return to South Africa after spending nine years in Europe, having left as a teenager. According to iDiski Times journalist Sinethemba Makonco, Mayambela’s preferred destination would be Kaizer Chiefs, a club he was part of at the under-15 level.
Mayambela, who started his professional career in South Africa with Cape Town All Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship before moving to Sweden’s Djurgården at 18, has since become a journeyman playing across Portugal, Israel, and Cyprus.
After nine years abroad, the Cape Town-born winger is open to returning home, with Kaizer Chiefs reportedly his favored club. Aris Limassol is said to be open to offers for the player.
In the 2024/25 season with Limassol, Mayambela made 23 appearances, scoring four goals and providing five assists, demonstrating his continued impact on the pitch.
