Kaizer Chiefs have welcomed a fresh face in their training sessions — and it’s a familiar one from Mamelodi Sundowns.

As Chiefs prepare for their upcoming pre-season tour in the Netherlands, outgoing Sundowns forward Etiosa Ighodaro has been spotted training with Amakhosi. This follows recent rumors linking him with a move to Chiefs, making his signing seem very likely.

Ighodaro isn’t the only new striker in Chiefs’ training squad; young DDC talent Naledi Hlongwane is also impressing in the attacking department.

But it doesn’t stop there — Chiefs have their eyes set on multiple Masandawana players. In fact, six Sundowns stars are reportedly being targeted by Amakhosi. Among them, Sipho Mbule’s potential transfer is generating buzz, with his agent Mike Makaab confirming the offer has been made to Chiefs. The decision now lies with Amakhosi on whether to seal the deal.

Additionally, Chiefs are closely watching the contract statuses of key Sundowns players like Peter Shalulile, Neo Maema, Khuliso Mashego, and Thapelo Maeko. Should any of these stars fail to secure an extension at Sundowns, Chiefs could swoop in with an offer.
