Kaizer Chiefs rising star Naledi Hlongwane is seeing his football dreams come true. The promising striker is among four academy products selected to join the senior team on their pre-season tour to the Netherlands.
Fresh off signing his first professional contract with Amakhosi, Hlongwane’s talent and hard work are starting to pay off.
Hlongwane’s Humble Rise
In December 2024, the teenager made headlines by scoring in the Carling Black Label Cup while representing the All Stars side. After the match, he credited fellow Chiefs talent Mfundo Vilakazi, reflecting the respect and maturity he carries both on and off the field.
“It’s been an incredible experience as a young player,” said Hlongwane. “I’m letting everything be guided by God. I used to train a lot with Mfundo in the DDC team before he moved up, so I learned a lot from that.”
The gifted attacker isn’t just known for his skill, but also for his composure under pressure — a rare quality in someone his age.
Transfer Rumour: Ethan Chislett to Chiefs?
In other news, midfielder Ethan Chislett is being linked with a move to Chiefs. The South African-born player, who has spent most of his career in England’s lower leagues and a brief stint in Spain with Reus Reddis, could reportedly join Amakhosi on a free transfer.
