Chippa United have confirmed the release of 15 players ahead of the 2025-26 PSL season, with former Orlando Pirates quartet Andile Jali, Bienvenu Eva Nga, Craig Martin, and Justice Chabalala leading the list.
Jali’s departure wasn’t unexpected, as rumours had already been circulating about his exit. Similarly, Eva Nga’s future at Chippa was uncertain, with his agent previously revealing ongoing talks about a contract renewal. However, speculation is mounting that Eva Nga could be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs as one of their new striking options next season.
Meanwhile, Siphelo Baloni will return to Orlando Pirates following the end of his season-long loan at Chippa. Other players heading back to their parent clubs include Aphelele Teto, returning to Livingston in Scotland, and Sonwabile Khumalo, who will rejoin Orbit College.
With a large squad overhaul underway, new Chippa United coach Sinethemba Badela faces the challenge of rebuilding the team and hitting the transfer market hard to bring in fresh talent.
