Njabulo Blom’s second stint at Kaizer Chiefs has officially come to an end, as the midfielder heads back to Major League Soccer side St. Louis City SC following a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old, who returned to his boyhood club in September 2024, was brought in to bolster Nasreddine Nabi’s midfield options. Despite not being a regular starter — featuring in only 19 matches across all competitions — Blom still managed to leave a mark by helping the club lift the Nedbank Cup.

His return sparked excitement among Amakhosi fans, many of whom were eager to see one of their own back in Gold & Black. While his game time was limited, his presence added depth and experience to the squad during a transitional season for the Soweto giants.

With the loan deal now completed, Blom will head back to the United States to rejoin St. Louis City SC, where he continues his international journey in the MLS.

Chiefs released a short farewell note, thanking the Dobsonville-born midfielder for his contribution and wishing him well as he resumes his career abroad.

“Blom leaves with a Nedbank Cup gold medal in his pocket and the best wishes of the entire Kaizer Chiefs family,” the club noted.

As Blom returns to the U.S., the door remains open for what could still be a promising future — both at club and international level.
