Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of five players as they gear up for their upcoming pre-season training.
In May, the club confirmed that Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom would be leaving. June saw Ranga Chivaviro become the third player to exit Naturena after his contract expired. More recently, Mozambican international Edmilson Dove parted ways with the club following two years of service.
The latest exit came on Monday when former Cape Town City midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane and Kaizer Chiefs mutually agreed to end their contract. Mdantsane, 30, joined Amakhosi ahead of the 2023/24 season but struggled for game time after an injury. Last season, he was loaned to Richards Bay FC to gain more minutes, though his loan spell yielded limited appearances.
During his time at Chiefs, Mdantsane featured in 16 matches across all competitions.
Looking ahead, Kaizer Chiefs will embark on their pre-season tour to the Netherlands from July 3 to 19. Reports suggest that new signings are expected to join the squad during this period.
