Among the standout names is Etiosa Ighodaro, a Mamelodi Sundowns forward who spent last season on loan at AmaZulu. He’s not the only notable newcomer; reports also link Orlando Pirates duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane with a switch to Naturena—fueling excitement among Amakhosi fans.
Who is Etiosa Ighodaro?
The 24-year-old Nigerian-born striker has quietly built a solid career in South African football since his arrival in 2021 from Abuja College, signing with Sundowns. While he never got much game time at Chloorkop, Ighodaro made his mark during a series of loan spells.
He first appeared in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with the University of Pretoria, and later impressed in the top-flight with Chippa United, SuperSport United, and most recently AmaZulu.
A Proven Goal-Scorer Across SA Clubs
Now set to join Chiefs as a free agent once his Sundowns deal expires at the end of June, Ighodaro brings with him an encouraging record:
- 11 goals in 27 matches for Chippa United
- 8 goals in 34 appearances for SuperSport United

He also notched up two assists each at Chippa and SuperSport, showing he can contribute beyond just scoring.
