Kaizer Chiefs are in the midst of a major squad reshuffle as they prepare for the new season, and it looks like Edson Castillo might be the next player to leave the club — potentially becoming their seventh departure.
Chiefs Ramp Up Changes
The club has already confirmed the release of five players and are close to finalizing a sixth exit, with another squad member reportedly on the way out. The aim is to make room for fresh faces, especially new foreign recruits, to strengthen the team.
Castillo’s Future Uncertain
Reports from iDiskiTimes suggest that head coach Nasreddine Nabi might be open to letting Castillo go, giving Chiefs more flexibility in the transfer market as they aim to bring in new talent.
Who’s Gone So Far?
Ranga Chivaviro was the first to leave, followed by fan favorites Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom. Edmilson Dove was also released recently, marking four confirmed exits.
Mduduzi Mdantsane appears to be next on the chopping block. The club’s management, led by Bobby Motaung, is reportedly planning to part ways with him. After spending time on loan at Richards Bay, Mdantsane is unlikely to return to Naturena for the upcoming campaign.
Fresh Blood Incoming?
Meanwhile, Nasreddine Nabi has his eyes set on new signings to rebuild a competitive squad for Kaizer Chiefs’ future challenges.
