Orlando Pirates have reportedly secured the signing of 23-year-old defender Tshepho Mashiloane from Baroka FC, with the transfer expected to take effect at the start of July.

Baroka’s chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, told iDiski Times,
“We will continue paying Mashiloane until the end of June, as his contract with us officially runs until then. Orlando Pirates have bought his services for the next season, starting July 1st.”

He added,
“If Pirates want him earlier, we can arrange it, but until June 30th he remains our player. From July 1st onward, he will be officially part of Orlando Pirates.”

More Reinforcements Incoming? The Rhodes Story

Mashiloane isn’t the only name linked with the Buccaneers as they prepare for the offseason after failing to make any signings during the January window.

Reports suggest Pirates are reviving interest in Jaedin Rhodes, a 22-year-old Cape Town City prospect.

A source revealed,
“Rhodes has had a quiet season, but remains a priority target for Pirates. Previous attempts to sign him were blocked by Cape Town City, but the Buccaneers plan to try again during the next transfer window.”

The situation might be tricky due to Cape Town City’s current circumstances, which could complicate negotiations.
