Orlando Pirates are reportedly keeping a close eye on Zimbabwean teenage sensation Prince Ndlovu once again, a year after he first caught the club’s attention during a trial stint in 2023.
The 19-year-old winger, who plays for Highlanders FC in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, is expected to feature for his national team at the upcoming COSAFA Cup — a tournament that could prove decisive in whether the Soweto giants finally make their move.
Ndlovu initially trained with Pirates as a 16-year-old when he was tipped for a possible move to Europe. However, the international deal failed to materialize, and he returned to Zimbabwe where he has since developed into one of the standout performers in the domestic league.
According to sources close to the club, Pirates’ scouting team has been tracking his progress ever since. With the COSAFA Cup providing a bigger stage, the talented winger now has a golden opportunity to impress once again and possibly earn a second shot at joining the Buccaneers.
If Ndlovu seals a move to the Betway Premiership, he could join the exciting new generation of talent at Pirates, alongside rising stars like Relebohile Mofokeng.
