Kaizer Chiefs’ Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is facing an uncertain future as the club weighs its next move — with just weeks before pre-season preparations for 2025/26 begin.

Despite arriving at Naturena from TS Galaxy with high hopes last year, Ntwari has seen little to no game time since October 2024. While he remains under contract, sources close to the club suggest Amakhosi may be open to selling him if the right offer comes along.

“There’s still respect for Ntwari within the club, but with upcoming changes, they’re being realistic,” a source told Soccer Laduma. “If a good offer comes in, especially with a new direction under the current technical team, Chiefs will seriously consider letting him go.”

Changing Guard Between the Sticks?

Chiefs are expected to bring in a new face between the posts ahead of the new Betway Premiership season. With Bruce Bvuma, Brandon Petersen, and Bontle Molefe already in the goalkeeping department, competition is fierce — and growing. The club has also been linked to Nigerian shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United) and Zambia’s Toaster Nsabata (Zesco United).

Nabi in Tanzania: Scouting or Strategy?

Meanwhile, head coach Nasreddine Nabi has delayed his off-season break to fly to East Africa, where he was spotted at a Tanzanian Premier League clash between Simba SC and Singida Big Stars.

Reports suggest Nabi is keeping a close eye on Simba SC talents Denis Kibu (winger) and captain Mohamed Hussein (left-back), with midfield maestro Feisal Salum of Azam FC also believed to be on his radar.

While Amakhosi fans await transfer confirmations, it’s clear that Kaizer Chiefs are not only preparing for significant changes — they’re actively building a new era, one scouting trip at a time.
